GBA Consultant: 12-month contract
Position Description
​
This position communicates GBA’s offerings and events to book industry stakeholders to foster a collaborative approach to solving sustainability issues in the book supply chain.
​
You’ll be responsible for supporting the organization with various tasks, such as:

Manage GBA’s working groups. This work includes: scheduling meetings, arranging access, preparing agendas and minutes, and coordinating or following up on committee-specific projects.

Oversee the development, review, and production of any committee or working group publications or products, working to ensure the projects are handled in an efficient and timely manner.

Oversee marketing efforts that include: email marketing for events; producing engaging content for GBA’s website and official social media platforms, with a focus on LinkedIn and Twitter; and being responsible for the GBA website and a quarterly newsletter.

Plan, schedule, and promote quarterly webinars for topics relevant to the GBA community.

Monitor and report on website and e-newsletter use/engagement.

What We Are Looking For

Marketing experience: writing copy & calls-to-action, creating social media campaigns, etc.

Familiarity with social media management

A strong interest in the intersection of books and environmental sustainability

Knowledge of the book supply chain

Experience managing projects

Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Flexible, organized, and attentive to detail

A love of and commitment to deadlines

Knowledge of BIC/BISG/BNC sustainability initiatives and an understanding of the impact on GBA initiatives/work

USD 25,000 - 30,000 per year
