About the Event
As reporting for carbon footprints and sustainability improvements expands, the Green Book Alliance is working to develop a consensus on the data that matters, where to find it, and how to maintain it. This effort requires input and support from the supply chain as a whole. To make progress in this area, the GBA is hosting a three-hour workshop on sustainability data collection and reporting, to be held from 9:30 CET to on Tuesday, October 15 at the Haus am Dom before EDItEUR's supply chain seminar later that day.
To prepare for the workshop, virtual discussions are planned for August 22 and August 29. These meetings will gather a working group of supply chain stakeholders (publishers, printers, paper manufacturers, etc.) to assess data collection requirements and available tools and identify opportunities to align/simplify requirements. Before the workshop, participants will receive a “straw man” proposal for streamlining data collection and reporting to support multiple reporting use-cases. The straw-man proposal will include a request for comments and an invitation to attend the Frankfurt workshop.
